Today I received 2 new ET44s from ScaleTrains and boy do they look sweet. Now I’ll have to dress up my Kato and FVM ES44ACs to help make them fit in a little better. I’m impressed so far!
Walthers had these bad boys on sale and I decided to pick up a couple. I didn’t realize how much I’d actually like them and the brightness they bring to the layout so i ordered a few more along with containers to fill all but 1 (cant find a any more unique sets). They’re hard […]
I saw these posted about on nscale.net and couldn’t resist an opportunity after seeing my newly acquired flat car having 2 tractors as a prototype, I figured 2 of these would be equally as awesome. Even tho they are not 1:160 I decided to add some more CAT equipment as I am planning […]
I’ve finally completed my transition to all modern rolling stock! This took a while but was totally worth it. This last order added some more high cube box cars with double and single doors, and a few 61′ bulkhead flats w/ loads. Now to get everything road legal 😀 That’s a whole other story, in […]
I purchased an Atlas GP38-2 in an attempt to one day convert it into a GP22 Tier 4 locomotive that way all my locomotives will be very efficient. Tomorrow I’ll receive a GP38-2 shell to replace my GP40 shell and then the upgrades can begin 😀 And after a day.. I received my GP38 shell […]
I’m nearly finished adding new variety to the freight car selection I have. I really needed some tank cars and found a good deal on a MTL 3 pack of Adams 53′ General Service Tank Cars. I also added 3 Athearn tank cars, 2 33′ and a 30′ along with some new single door high […]
I decided to tag these puppies up and boy do they look good!
I’m happy to add a couple Trinity reefers to the line up. These things are great looking. Now to offload some old rolling stock and to upgrade everything to modern stuff 😀
Up next are some articulated Atlas Auto racks. I purchased 4 sets (8 total) but failed to realize the road numbers are al the same. No worries, I hope to renumber them some day and likely tag them up.
I ordered a set of BLMA spine cars along with a couple semi trucks. They look great rolling around but the tiny wheels and my Atlas turnouts don’t play nice together. I will be changing the whees out with MTLs soon enough.
